A styled shoot with a twist…

A couple of months ago I had the great pleasure of helping out a friend with her styled shoot. She wanted to create something different, the idea that Bridal didn’t mean a typical white dress and styling…

The brief was simple; natural and feminine. Grace, the model is naturally beautiful so enchanting this was no problem. I wanted the makeup and hair to compliment the look without looking out of place so I went for a tousled wave and smoky rose gold eye.

Grace’s hair is naturally very straight and she told me it struggles to keep a curl. Setting her hair with a little magic product ‘Pli’ by L’oreal meant the hair stayed in place until I was ready to change the style! I literally would not do a wedding without this product… The hair was then tonged and tousled for that soft romantic wave.

For Graces’ makeup I wanted to stay in keeping with the natural, feminine style. Her skin was kept fresh and glowing with a hint of peachy blush. For the eyes I brought out her beautiful baby blues with a wash of rose gold and lots of mascara!

The look was then transformed into a sultry evening look as we ventured inside! A smokey eye and a pop of deep burgundy red on the lips, small changes to make a big difference! The hair was smoothed and pulled into a low classic bun.

The whole shoot was a success! Lianne at Blonde Army had a vision and it totally paid off as the shoot was featured on The Whimsical Wonderland Weddings Blog!! I met some amazing talented suppliers and had great fun along the way!
